BMEzine's gallery, this one did not offer any translation with only caption of " Tattoos by Shone Liman, Serbia."
I am too lazy to get into the details. The only thing I can think of is:
Dear Mr. Serb,
If you admire Chinese culture so much, why not just build a
Bruce Lee statue like what Bosnia did, perhaps bigger and made out of precious metal?
Wow. Just... wow. That's horrible. The one on the top left might be 汝, but the whole thing is still a mess.
ReplyDeletetop left 海?
ReplyDeleteSome characters remind me of a time when I was young and tried to draw pictures of Asian countries (especially Japan and China) from what I saw in TV. I was like...9-10 or so, with a keen interest in East Asia. If it was Japan I'd draw a girl clad in a Kimono and a guy clad in a Dougi (Martial arts wear...complete with the black belt and all) draw a hi-rise building, a pagoda and a signboard made with faux characters consisting of kanji I've seen at the ending credits of anime and made-up characters by randomly scribbling. If it was China I'd just draw the Great Wall and guys clad in Mao dresses and triangular straw hats (don't know what they're called even now) and no written signboards, since I thought that Chinese letters are different than Japanese letters...and the Kanji was Japanese. Those characters look a lot like my made-up scribbled characters of my childhood.
ReplyDelete"guys clad in Mao dresses"
ReplyDeletemaybe you've understood what I really tried to say but I'll make a correction....Mao dresses would be Mao suits
Okay, normally I can keep a pretty straight face reading this blog, but seeing that character on the lower right made me laugh. WHERE DO PEOPLE COME UP WITH THESE?!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the children's book "On Beyond Zebra!" by Dr. Seuss, with all the funny made-up alphabet letters.
