Hi there! So I am from northern Wisconsin and as a dumb teenager, who 13 years ago, got a tattoo on a whim with a friend I really need your help. I've asked the Chinese resaraunt employees but can't get a solid answer to what the heck this actually means. Its supposed to mean family however I fear it does not. Please please help me out. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Dumb 18 yr old blonde in north wisco

subject: Meaning of my Tattoo

Hello! I've had this tattoo for a few years now. My uncle had it and told me it was a family tattoo of our last name, Quon, which means Bright Light.

I need to know what it really means... Please help!

subject: Tattoo meaning?

Hello!

Found your blog and maybe you could help me solve the mystery of my first tattoo? I picked it out of a catalogue at 18. I've had a Japanese person tell me it doesn't actually mean anything, but I suspect it might have some meaning in slang. What do you say?

Thanks in advance, great blog!

I got this tattoo an a drunken dare a couple of decades ago and I was dumb enough not to do any research first. Could you possibly help translate it for me and tell me what language it is in?

富裕, prosperous, however the second character  is incorrectly separated into two.

Hi!
I love your blog, it's amazing how language can be a funny barrier. My husband says his back tatto mean his mother's name (Malaquias or Altagracias, i forgot which of her two names it was). He got this in the Dominican Republic, a Spanish speaking country. So, although there is a small Chinese population there, I had to question the authenticity of it.

Thanks so much!

Hello,

I got this tattoo 18 years ago without properly researching it when I was a foolish 18 year old. It's supposed to say "faith", but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. How bad is it?
