I purchased a Camelbak 100 oz Unbottle from REI yesterday, here is its multilingual instruction card.

However traditional version of Chinese had many of its characters missing, replaced with underscores, while the simplified version is intact.

    Interestingly, the underscores correspond to characters that are different between simplified and traditional.

    Yes, Anon, I think the problem was that they attempted to use a font that contained only simplified characters to print the traditional version of the text. The missing characters were evidently replaced with underscores.

    The traditional Chinese isn't all they messed up. There's underscores in the Polish version as well.
