Alan and I are curious what is the reasoning behind such large tattoo. Even more, large tattoo with an obvious error in it.

  1. Is it supposed to mean anything? Doesn't make sense in Chinese nor Japanese, and the middle character is mirrored?! Big shameless dude! First character = scales / Libra. Second, which is mirrored = "to shoot(with an arrow)". Third character = "a pair". My guess: It not only has a mirrored middle character, but it might also be reversed in writing direction: 双射秤?! Shooting at two scales or perhaps shooting at two people who were Libras[Another Zodiac killer on the loose?!].

  2. My guess is that it's supposed to be Libra, Sagittarius and Gemini which are 天秤座、射手座 and 双子座 in Japanese.

Google translate tells me the same characters are used in Chinese, but I don't trust it as far as I can throw it, so maybe a Chinese literate person could verify.

  3. Hey 你被和谐了!
As best I can remember I was able to access this site a week ago, but now blogspot shows up in the URL, meaning you are now an enemy of China and your website is banned. Please fix it so us in the middle kingdom can read it without having to use a proxy. Thanks!

Without the Chinese language, there would still be no written Japanese language today perhaps? They are all in Chinese, which the Japanese borrowed?!

天秤座、射手座 and 双子座: abbreviating all three as 天射双 certainly doesn't make sense. The person who did the tattoo had no common sense to tell them that it's wrong to tattoo that way?! Well, 90-95% of these money making tattooist can't read or understand Chinese characters, so good for them for not researching first.

  5. Should've picked a better font too. This looks like very basic default Chinese computer font (equivalent of Times New Roman, really).
